Description: 375 ml - 100% Extra Virgin from Australia, Picual is medium bodied and medium flavored oil w ith a classic Spanish taste and texture. This oil has a sweet buttery flavor and anise ripe tomato aroma when warmed. It is a very good choice for sauce making, an whenever a bit more flavor is desired. Picual is a well balanced all purpose oil, and is a great counterpart to the more flavorful Balsamic Vinegars. Add some Arbequina to soften it, and/or Hojiblanco to raise the smoke point. This is an all purpose oil that will be excellent on salads and in sauces. As a dipper, it will go well with grated cheese and dipping spices.
Picudo is more flavorful than the Arbequina and Picual varietals from Spain, and has a broader range of applications. It is sweet and buttery with a nice light peppery finish. Picudo EVOO can be used in almost any application, but will be outstanding as a bread dipper, in salads, when cooking meats, and in more hearty or full bodied dishes and sauces. This tasty oil would make an excellent condiment drizzled over your favorite dish.
