Ascolano is known for its medium fruitiness, tropical notes and just a hint of Apricot. It has a lighter texture than most other oils, without sacrificing flavor. It exhibits a very pleasant finish, and might score just a few points higher than the 2006 Ascolano.
This oil will excel drizzled over spaghetti and angel hair pastas, and will make an excellent Bruschetta or Crostini. The medium fruitiness, and light body of Ascolano is ideal when grilling fish, chicken, and vegetables. Try it with a nice crusty bread and bread dipping seasonings and cheese.
